Our Tiny Novice team is designed specifically for young athletes who are ready to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends, and experience the fun of being part of a team—all in a supportive, age-appropriate environment.

What is a Novice Cheer Team?

Our Novice Program is the perfect introduction to competitive cheer for athletes ages 3–15 who are ready to commit to an 11-month season. Novice teams practice once per week and compete locally throughout the Reno and Northern California area. Competing at Level 1, Novice athletes focus on skill progression, teamwork, and confidence-building. Instead of placement trophies, athletes receive performance rankings at each competition. The goal is to continually improve scores and rankings throughout the season, allowing athletes to develop at their own pace while gaining valuable experience in the world of competitive cheer.

Little Dippers Team Details

Practice Schedule: Wednesdays, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Competition Schedule: Approximately 5 local events throughout the season

Season Cost

Monthly Tuition: Only $89 per month plus team fees

Team Fees: Team fees cover the costs associated with creating an incredible season experience for our athletes, including:
Competition fees, Choreography, Music , Coaches’ fees, Team bonding events, Season 17 Tank Top, End of Season Celebration and
Other season costs paid directly to third-party vendors For the Little Dippers Novice Team, team fees are divided into four payments of $228. And one payment of $225 the first payment is due at the time of registration, with the remaining payments due June 15th, August 15th, October 15th and December 15th.

With just one practice per week, young athletes can experience the excitement of competitions while developing valuable life skills such as discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and confidence.
